How long does Amazon PPC take to work?

This is a tricky question that has alot to do with specific situations. Factors can include the history of the product, how long the item has been listed, and more.

It depends on your goals, your margins and the competition of your niche. 

We mostly recommend using Amazon sponsored product ads for sales and rank. Other ad types are mostly advisable for brand awareness and helping acquire subscribe and save customers for replenishable products.
